A.S Apothecary THE Face Cream!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and getting ready for Autumn & Winter and getting ‘Hygge with it!’ I have just bought a nice bright purple ultra fluffie bead spread for my bed which my cats will steal on me! I am sure come the cold weather we will all be glued to it lol.

Come Autumn I am always planning what skincare I need to take me through the days where my heating is on full blast because it really dries my skin out. So when I tried this A.S Apothecary face cream I had a real oh WOW moment!

Amanda Saurin is a true Apothecary who grows, distils her own plants. She instinctively knows when to harvest them and when you are nurturing your products from seed to harvesting and making your own skincare from absolute scratch the results are truly amazing, they really speak for themselves.

Wildcrafted, organic, made in small batches to ensure the finest quality that I honestly believe the quality shines through in every single product I have tried from this brand. It smells incredible a beautiful mix of flower and plant & herbs and really uplifting. It just smells so fresh and beautiful.

Secondly you see the lovely texture of the cream you just know it is going to be nourishing but it feels so light and it goes a long way on your skin. It is lovely and silken, hydrating and nourishing it sinks into the skin straight away.

I get no residue sitting on my skin after this. I just get skin that looks hydrated, radiant and nourished. It is designed for mature skin and my skin simply loves it. I think until you have tried a product like this you are really missing out compared to mass produced and full of chemicals skincare, the difference is immense.

This has to be one of the most beautiful face creams I have tried for all of those reasons above. For me it is the perfect hydrating face cream that is a treat and an absolute pleasure to use and that fragrance ….

I look forward to trying more of this brand as everything I have tried so far has been so truly divine on my skin and the botanical s smell so incredible it is a brand I just want lots more of, it is beautiful I cannot imagine anyone trying this and not loving it!

Have you tried A.S Apothecary yet? If so what did you think if it?

That’s it for now everyone, take care,

That Natural Hygge – A new Beauty and Wellbeing Website

Hello fellow beauties,

As we draw ever closer to Autumn and the days are getting darker I think we look to feathering or nests and making our home nice and cosy for a long dark old winter. Well we should be doing the same for out skins too!

Louise a fellow blogger from The Beauty Bank has opened up her own website and her aim is to inspire us to take much better care of ourselves and enrich out lifestyles with products and items to really take care of us and boost our well being.

I was sent a launch box to review and showcase some of the brands that Louise will be stocking on her website.

The products are all organic, natural, nourishing and mood boosting & uplifting to give a wealth of well being and nurturing benefits and just making us stop and think to take that step to slow down a little at times and truly relax.

With a host of incredible brands and one of my favourites the new Bodhi & Birch Superfood Series (sigh it takes me away to a private island lying on a beach with my own private beautician making up fresh formulas to use on my face & body) I digress….

There is a few brands I had yet to try like Alteya Organics. I have the Purifying face cleanser. It is a lovely cooling cleanser with Rose, Jasmine, Aloe Vera. It is a very effective cleanser and leaves me and my skin feeling cooled and very refreshed, skin feels great and there is no dryness, so I really like this as a second cleanse.

ISUN Amethyst body oil – is a beautiful wild crafted body oil, energised with The violet vibration of the Amethyst crystal it is a blend of organic herbs and essential oils. It is particularly good for the central nervous system and helps lift heavy mental fatigue whilst nourishing normal to dry skins. It smells amazing and is right up my street!

100 acres Rose & Lavender Bubble Bath
– I already got this in a big size in my bathroom and this won’t go amiss either. A lovely evening bath to soothe the mind, happy days!

My last product is a mini Mage Rosemary organic wax scented candle. I have to say I really love Rosemary and its powers of reviving me on bad Fibromyalgia days, it is an amazing herb that I also love cooking with. Just rubbing it between my fingers and getting that wonderful scent. This candle smells amazing it scented the whole box beautifully too.

So I hope we are all going to get naturally ‘Hygge’ with it this winter and take better care of ourselves. After all when we do we are able to take better care of those we love too.

You can check out the website and sign up for the newsletter and special offers. There is also a 10% off with sign up and you can check out the website where there will be lots more exciting products to come here – That Natural Hygge

Bye for now folks

A.S Apothecary Wild Beauty Balm Concentrate #30 – Well Hello Beautiful!

Hello Beauties,

I hope you are all making the most of this beautiful sunshine while it lasts because it never does so get your vitamin D while you can eh!

How have I not heard of or tried this brand before? O-M-G this Wild Beauty Balm Concentrate #30 is simply divine. The fragrance is the scent of a spring meadow with a little woodiness in to ground it, the smell just delights your senses and sends you instantly into a good mood. (I seriously cannot stop smelling this). It just gets me right in the heart!

So at A.S Apothecary they grow and pick most of the plants they use in their products themselves and these come from Sussex, Scotland and Cyprus. Amanda Saurin the founder is a traditional Apothecary, not something taught in classrooms but a rare talent handed down from hand to hand over centuries. She plants, picks grows and distills all her own oils & tinctures and a whole host more. Her knowledge of herbs, plants and flowers will be second to none.

It is rare to come across a company that does not buy all their oils and potions in. All made in house you can be sure that you are getting the best ingredients into your product and I think that is what I am picking up on so strongly in this balm. It resonates with me, I didn’t know I needed it until I found it sort of thing.

The Wild Beauty Balm is made up of a concentrate of 10 active botanical oils and 5 essential oils to nourish and promote skin health.  Great for mature skin, it can be used  on any area of the body really to heal sore skin too. A small pea size amount is enough to do your whole face & neck. On contact the balm melts beautifully onto your skin releasing that intoxicating fragrance from within, it really is stunning! (as well as being fabulous on your skin).

If you love a comforting skin nourishing balm then you gotta try this! If you love aromatherapy benefits you have to smell this, it is a pot of wildflower fields held in a beautiful golden balm!

Have you heard of  this brand or tried the Wild Beauty Balm?
If so I would love to hear your thoughts on it ..I think this won’t be my last time trying  this brand as I am somewhat obsessed with this little post of  magic .. beautifully made it really is something else. that rare and special thing that you only stumble across every so often .. got it bad haven’t I lol?

You can find the Wild Beauty Balm Concentrate – A.S Apothecary

Everything I have tried from this brand smells and feels amazing!

That’s it for now folks

Bodhi & Birch Have A Fabulous New Website & New Product Launches Coming Soon!

Hello fellow beauty lovers,

Bodhi & Birch have just launched  their new website, not only that they have an Organic Super-food range launching soon (oh yes) I can’t wait! Not only that but Elijah has been working on reformulating on that which was already a stunning product – The Beautiful Organic Desert Rose Face Oil. I didn’t think he could make it much better but some how he has tweaked it and it is stunning!

One of the oils he took out of this oil was wheatgerm oil which can cause people with wheat allergies some problems. So this has made the oil more open to people who could not use it before.

One of the oils he added was an organic prickly pear oil which was a new one on me , looking at the ingredient list it is very high up on the list and I know Elijah the founder really has not scrimped in any way in the making of this oil. He only put the finest ingredients together and put in what really does need to be there. I always pick up a beautiful balance from Elijah, someone who has life in balance, he gives off that lovely nurturing feeling and he has certainly nurtured this oil and brought it to life beautifully.

I did a little read up on the prickly pear oil. It is fantastic on older skins, it plumps, helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and it is packed full of essential fatty acids, Vitamin E & Vitamin K a big buzzword in the beauty industry right now. It smells soothing and wonderfully fragrant with Damask Rose and just a hint of the sharp pear coming in underneath.

It is packed full of antioxidants so a great addition to the Desert Rose Oil which is already full of beautiful organic oils like Rosehip, Argan, Star Flower & Evening Primrose this oil is incredibly lightweight. It sinks beautifully right into your skin as the oils are so pure, the fragrance of the Damask Rose coming through and a hint of pear, not sweet pear but a hint of wonderful crisp pear.

Everything in this bottle is designed to soothe the mind and spoil your skin, give it a beautiful nourishing treat full of beautiful ingredients it is so balanced and a little bottle of joy that you really treasure. It is silken, super lightweight and it sinks completely into the skin as it is very pure and there is no residue on your face just velvety soft nourished skin.

Bodhi & Birch have just launched their new website this weekend and with every purchase you can get a free luxe sample of the Desert Rose Oil. So go take a look here, I can recommend so many things that I love like the Pep Noir, Siam Ginger, Mint The, Rosemary Chi shower gels (yes I am a shower gel lover and hoarder!) Not forgetting the unforgettable Mint The Temple Balm guaranteed to kill all lurgy from 10ft! Great for stress, colds, flu you name it this balm helps lots!
I keep it beside my bed, it seems to kill off colds for me so when anyone is near me with the cold out comes the balm like holy water lol (works for me).

Anyway you can check out the website for yourself and perhaps bag yourself something nice and a free sample of the Desert Rose Oil!

New website is here –   Bodhi & Birch

American English Luxury Vegan Youth Repair Shampoo & Conditioner.

Hello beauty lovers,

In January I was very lucky and won a competition of some American English hair care products. At first I thought they can’t be better than what I am using! But I can very happily say that hands down they are and in fact they are much better!

So today I want to talk about the American English Youth repair Shampoo & Conditioner – Youth Repair is a shampoo for colour treated hair. I have the most awkward hair in the world, it is superfine, lots of it, it is curly and extremely prone to frizz, it is the bane of my life it really is. Given that I live by the sea side, add in the wind and sea air, mostly my hair is in a ponytail because to keep it neat is endless when you factor in so many things.

So the youth repair shampoo is rich in vitamin C & Omegas 3,6 and 9, it is for dry colour treated hair and is full of vitamins and amino acids to not only effectively cleanse  your hair but to help repair your hair back to a more youthful natural state. It helps to re-hydrate your hair and to strengthen the hair and help prevent breaking and snapping.

Effectively this is high end luxury vegan shampoo hair care, free from sulphates & parabens it  has a lovely fresh unisex fragrance. I have found a little goes a long way, it gives a great lather and leaves hair feeling super clean. You can feel it has done a really good job in the shower, you get that incredibly clean feeling to your hair and scalp. Worth noting that is also has UVA & UVB protection built in too and it is ph balanced which really helps close down the cuticle locking in moisture and helping your hair colour to last longer.

American English Youth Repair Conditioner, restores elasticity with Boabab (tree of life) .Rich in vitamins A,C & E plus omegas 3,6,7, & 9 intensely conditioning  restoring, strength and vitality!

OMG I love this conditioner. It is rich and luxurious, it coats the hair really well  and you just know by how it feels on the hair it is doing your hair good! It is skincare for your hair and you can feel it instantly when you apply it to  your hair.

Again it has that fresh revitalising scent and it feels like you are massaging beautiful silky oils and proteins into your hair , it can also be left on for longer and used as a hair mask too.

I have personally for my hair type have found very few products that make my hair feel conditioned, the hair cuticles all appear to be flattened and running the right way My hair looks glossy and conditioned right down to the ends and I have less frizz than ever and that can be a real issue for me I am not big on a lot of hair products, just some serum or a conditioning spritz.

I honestly didn’t think I could find better than I had been using but I genuinely have, in fact it my hair looks and feels even better and the ladies in my beauty group will know this. I will more than happily buy this for myself and keep on using because not only is it vegan, clean and cruelty free it does what it says on the bottle and it is an absolute pleasure to use and my hair looks shiny, healthy, conditioned and lovely and clean!

You can find American English products at Asos or John Lewis

That is it for today folks, bye for now

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box for March 2018 “Rebalance” March 22, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome,

I had moved my blog to a different website that I cannot get on with so time to switch back to what I know I can cope with (just about) I am no computer wizard, quite the opposite so with only one nerve left dangling I am moving back home again to what I know!

‘Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box’ is the best beauty box on the market (imo). I have been getting this box for around 7 months now and haven’t had a bad box yet! This month’s box is all about re balance, so many of us are feeling out of sorts from a never ending winter I think. Craving blue skies and sunshine badly.

So anyhow lets get into it and see what I got!

First item is – a Beauty Shortlist Winner from 2017 – Apothaka Rejuvenatng Face Oil which has also featured in Vogue! Full of organics like – Geranium, Sandalwood and Frankincense (I lovvvee Frankincense).

High in Linoleic acids (essential fatty acids) it is rich in Hemp Seed Oil, Evening Primrose, Sea Buckthorn and Co-Enzyme Q10 a powerful antioxidant that neturalizes free radicals on the skin, one of the biggest causes of aging on skin. I have found it to be lovely and light and it went into my skin well last night.

The Apothaka Rejuvenatng Face Oil is full of plant actives and is handmade in small batches to ensure maximum freshness oh and all subscribers to the Skin Organics newsletter will receive an email from the founder Natasha Dauncey giving you the best advice of how to get the very best out of this product for yours skin. How lovely is that?

Next up is Beauty Cubes now these are a bit of a new one one me and it says they are for normal to dry hair but I am not sure I would be that confident with fine, curly, frizz prone hair but – they are very eco from their biodegradable cleansing agents and their packaging.

So you just crumble the dry cube into the palm of you hand add some water, make a paste and smooth onto hair add more water and you get a good lather.

They do smell rather fabulous and have coconut milk, rose extract, pro vitamin B5, olive oil plus essential oils of Palmarosa, Orange and Grapefruit. That’s a lot of goodness for one wee cube isn’t it? While I am unsure of it on my particular hair type my niece is studying hairdressing and I will give these to her and ask her to report back on them. I just hate the thought of a head full of frizz (sorry)

NK Naturals Delicate Cleansing Balm, this is an incredibly gentle balm perfect for people with very sensitive skin and recommended for the relief of eczema, psoriasis & rosacea. This balm has antibacterial qualities, anti inflammatory and is also rich in vitamin A, is on a base of coconut oil and raw organic beeswax (from Kew Gardens). It has blue chamomile, oat kernel oil, alpine Lavender & Palmarosa.

What I like so far about this balm is it not only packs a super soothing punch but you can use it on cuticles, PLUS eye brows and lashes to promote health and lash growth. When I first tried it I loved how lovely and soft it is, I hate a hard beeswax product I find they can be very hard to get off the skin, has to be soft and melting to the touch for me and this does!

This is a wonder balm it can be used for everything and everything and I have a very strong feeling this little pot is going to leave me wanting a lot more. I love a multi tasking product and this is super multi tasking, organic and pure, I love!

NorthBurN Revive Luxury Bath Salts are an invigorating revitalizing blend of Orange, Palmarosa & Lavender, bath salts never go a miss in this house. Made with a base of pure Pink Himalayan Salts and Cocoa Butter these baths salts smell fabulous and very uplifting, a great pick me up for weary souls. They have a good strong scent and will fragrance my whole flat when I use them.

The Salt Parlour Rose & Shea Butter (calm) Salt & Sulphur Scrub – These are a 2018 Beauty Shortlists Editors Choice Award Winners!!

I am trying to see what sulphur they have used in their scrub I am thinking it is MSM which is extremely good for the skin, I would love to know – anyone?

So The Salt Parlour harnesses the goodness of the sea with cold pressed oils, air dried rose petals & shea butter into a scrub that is great for mature or irritated skin. A great way to get all the vitamins and minerals into the skin from the pink salts . I love that these are affordable and organic. Some Himalayan Salt products are so seriously over priced.

This will be a lovely addition to my bath room for sure. I can see why a product like this would be a winner and great price point too!

So that is this month’s Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box, my favourite by a mile, always full of products mostly new to me and it is a box to rebalance yourself into spring so the shock of some nice weather doesn’t knock you for six too much lol ..

Bye for now

Mono Oils – Organic, Wild Crafted, Raw, Fresh, Outstanding Radiance Oil.

Hello fellow skincare addicts,

Since I started getting the Skin Organics clean Beauty box I have been introduced to some of the most beautiful oils I have ever tried! All made with the brand owners own special blends, for me it is exciting to try them all and these oils are so light and refined they just glide over the skin and sink in like no others.

Mono Oils the Radiance face oil. Mono Oils are Artisan skincare and made in small batches to retain freshness.
They contain organic raw cold processed oils at their very best, they are designed to harness both the body and spirit and they really do! They are addictive! Ones you pick these bottles up you will not want to pick up anything else.

Radiance face oil is an evening oil, it is light and a little goes a very long way, you can really work it over your face giving yourself a good massage, great to use with the Hayo’u beauty restorer I know some of my friends bought.

This oil is perfect for mature ,combination and dry skins like mine(mature/dry). First thing I noticed about this oil was the absolutely beautiful look of the green plant oils within this oil (give it a little shake before using). Seeing this oil so pure appeals not only to the chef in me but to knowing how easily it warms in my hands and then inhaling those oils – such raw freshness, my skin is at the softest and most hydrated it has been for a good few winters at least.

Luxurious, silky and with organic oils of Camelia, Rosehip, Neroli & Sandalwood to mood boost this oil is a blend of 12 oils to immediately nourish the skin and get your glow back. Honestly it has left my skin so well conditioned, calm and glowing and silky smooth. It is also full of these essential omegas/essential fatty acids our skin needs alongside powerful antioxidants. It is infused with Citrine.

Citrine – a warm and comforting stone of abundance, often described as sunshine packed into a crystal. Citrine enhances the whole body’s healing energy and is full of positive vibrations, emitting a warm energy that promotes joy, happiness and optimism, strengthening the inner light, and warding off depression, stress and general unhappiness.

Honestly blown away by this stunning oil, I just want more, completely addictive and I am well and truly hooked on the quality, feel and the incredible mood boost and lift I get off this oil. I naturally radiate towards it every day, they are stunning in every way and I am so pleased to have found them because for now I am ruined for all others!
I am very lucky because this beautiful oil came from a cracking October Autumn Glow – Skin Organics Clean beauty box!
You need to love/adore skincare I think to know you that have something very special here. Something that stops you in your tracks and really fulfills what you and your skin are looking for …
