That Natural Hygge – A new Beauty and Wellbeing Website

Hello fellow beauties,

As we draw ever closer to Autumn and the days are getting darker I think we look to feathering or nests and making our home nice and cosy for a long dark old winter. Well we should be doing the same for out skins too!

Louise a fellow blogger from The Beauty Bank has opened up her own website and her aim is to inspire us to take much better care of ourselves and enrich out lifestyles with products and items to really take care of us and boost our well being.

I was sent a launch box to review and showcase some of the brands that Louise will be stocking on her website.

The products are all organic, natural, nourishing and mood boosting & uplifting to give a wealth of well being and nurturing benefits and just making us stop and think to take that step to slow down a little at times and truly relax.

With a host of incredible brands and one of my favourites the new Bodhi & Birch Superfood Series (sigh it takes me away to a private island lying on a beach with my own private beautician making up fresh formulas to use on my face & body) I digress….

There is a few brands I had yet to try like Alteya Organics. I have the Purifying face cleanser. It is a lovely cooling cleanser with Rose, Jasmine, Aloe Vera. It is a very effective cleanser and leaves me and my skin feeling cooled and very refreshed, skin feels great and there is no dryness, so I really like this as a second cleanse.

ISUN Amethyst body oil – is a beautiful wild crafted body oil, energised with The violet vibration of the Amethyst crystal it is a blend of organic herbs and essential oils. It is particularly good for the central nervous system and helps lift heavy mental fatigue whilst nourishing normal to dry skins. It smells amazing and is right up my street!

100 acres Rose & Lavender Bubble Bath
– I already got this in a big size in my bathroom and this won’t go amiss either. A lovely evening bath to soothe the mind, happy days!

My last product is a mini Mage Rosemary organic wax scented candle. I have to say I really love Rosemary and its powers of reviving me on bad Fibromyalgia days, it is an amazing herb that I also love cooking with. Just rubbing it between my fingers and getting that wonderful scent. This candle smells amazing it scented the whole box beautifully too.

So I hope we are all going to get naturally ‘Hygge’ with it this winter and take better care of ourselves. After all when we do we are able to take better care of those we love too.

You can check out the website and sign up for the newsletter and special offers. There is also a 10% off with sign up and you can check out the website where there will be lots more exciting products to come here – That Natural Hygge

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box for March 2018 “Rebalance” March 22, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome,

I had moved my blog to a different website that I cannot get on with so time to switch back to what I know I can cope with (just about) I am no computer wizard, quite the opposite so with only one nerve left dangling I am moving back home again to what I know!

‘Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box’ is the best beauty box on the market (imo). I have been getting this box for around 7 months now and haven’t had a bad box yet! This month’s box is all about re balance, so many of us are feeling out of sorts from a never ending winter I think. Craving blue skies and sunshine badly.

So anyhow lets get into it and see what I got!

First item is – a Beauty Shortlist Winner from 2017 – Apothaka Rejuvenatng Face Oil which has also featured in Vogue! Full of organics like – Geranium, Sandalwood and Frankincense (I lovvvee Frankincense).

High in Linoleic acids (essential fatty acids) it is rich in Hemp Seed Oil, Evening Primrose, Sea Buckthorn and Co-Enzyme Q10 a powerful antioxidant that neturalizes free radicals on the skin, one of the biggest causes of aging on skin. I have found it to be lovely and light and it went into my skin well last night.

The Apothaka Rejuvenatng Face Oil is full of plant actives and is handmade in small batches to ensure maximum freshness oh and all subscribers to the Skin Organics newsletter will receive an email from the founder Natasha Dauncey giving you the best advice of how to get the very best out of this product for yours skin. How lovely is that?

Next up is Beauty Cubes now these are a bit of a new one one me and it says they are for normal to dry hair but I am not sure I would be that confident with fine, curly, frizz prone hair but – they are very eco from their biodegradable cleansing agents and their packaging.

So you just crumble the dry cube into the palm of you hand add some water, make a paste and smooth onto hair add more water and you get a good lather.

They do smell rather fabulous and have coconut milk, rose extract, pro vitamin B5, olive oil plus essential oils of Palmarosa, Orange and Grapefruit. That’s a lot of goodness for one wee cube isn’t it? While I am unsure of it on my particular hair type my niece is studying hairdressing and I will give these to her and ask her to report back on them. I just hate the thought of a head full of frizz (sorry)

NK Naturals Delicate Cleansing Balm, this is an incredibly gentle balm perfect for people with very sensitive skin and recommended for the relief of eczema, psoriasis & rosacea. This balm has antibacterial qualities, anti inflammatory and is also rich in vitamin A, is on a base of coconut oil and raw organic beeswax (from Kew Gardens). It has blue chamomile, oat kernel oil, alpine Lavender & Palmarosa.

What I like so far about this balm is it not only packs a super soothing punch but you can use it on cuticles, PLUS eye brows and lashes to promote health and lash growth. When I first tried it I loved how lovely and soft it is, I hate a hard beeswax product I find they can be very hard to get off the skin, has to be soft and melting to the touch for me and this does!

This is a wonder balm it can be used for everything and everything and I have a very strong feeling this little pot is going to leave me wanting a lot more. I love a multi tasking product and this is super multi tasking, organic and pure, I love!

NorthBurN Revive Luxury Bath Salts are an invigorating revitalizing blend of Orange, Palmarosa & Lavender, bath salts never go a miss in this house. Made with a base of pure Pink Himalayan Salts and Cocoa Butter these baths salts smell fabulous and very uplifting, a great pick me up for weary souls. They have a good strong scent and will fragrance my whole flat when I use them.

The Salt Parlour Rose & Shea Butter (calm) Salt & Sulphur Scrub – These are a 2018 Beauty Shortlists Editors Choice Award Winners!!

I am trying to see what sulphur they have used in their scrub I am thinking it is MSM which is extremely good for the skin, I would love to know – anyone?

So The Salt Parlour harnesses the goodness of the sea with cold pressed oils, air dried rose petals & shea butter into a scrub that is great for mature or irritated skin. A great way to get all the vitamins and minerals into the skin from the pink salts . I love that these are affordable and organic. Some Himalayan Salt products are so seriously over priced.

This will be a lovely addition to my bath room for sure. I can see why a product like this would be a winner and great price point too!

So that is this month’s Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box, my favourite by a mile, always full of products mostly new to me and it is a box to rebalance yourself into spring so the shock of some nice weather doesn’t knock you for six too much lol ..

Bye for now

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Hello beauties,

Been a while since my last blog post but onwards and upwards as they say!

I have been using this Tatcha luminous dewy skin mist for a while now and have been reading a bit about the brand.

Tatcha came to life from a Japanese lady, Victoria Tsai who had enough of life in the fast lane and wanted simplicity and authenticity in her life, she also suffered from chronic dermatitis and from there she began to learn about the importance of good skin ingredients and of course well-being.

An encounter with a modern day Geisha changed her life. She started reading about a different approach to skincare, routines and rituals that for centuries has been kept and handed down from woman to woman.

Tried and tested formulas, simple, pure and effective and cutting out the need for a lot of the preservatives and harsh ingredients in a lot of today’s skincare.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin mist is a silky spray-on moisturiser for anti-ageing and dry/combination skin it is made with squaline, red algae and an anti-ageing ingredient called HADASEI-3 Complex, which is known as a powerful trilogy of Japanese ingredients – it also protects the skin and keeps it dewy and glowing. It is formulated with over 20% botanical oils and Hyaluronic Acid.

It delivers a lovely light but hydrating mist to the skin and can be used on top or under makeup throughout the day. This is such a fantastic product to stop your skin from drying out and keep you looking fresh and dewy.

It smells heavenly and I can really feel the benefit of the mist on my face. It is softer and more hydrated, which coming into the winter season is something I find incredibly important.

It is free from parabens, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances & sulphates, anything that can really irritate sensitive skin.

I am a face mist addict – I find the right ones an excellent way to get extra hydration into my skin and to give a boost during the day too. Tatcha has lots of vitamins and hydrants in which makes it a skin lovers gem of a mist.

This mist is absolutely beautiful and after learning a bit about the brand it is something in time I would love to try a lot more of. It is not available in the UK yet but fingers crossed it will be at some point soon! Right now you can get it here in Sephora.

Have you tried any Tatcha skincare?

I love that Tatcha’s ingredients have stood the test of time and are well proven to be effective and that it has that wonderful balance that Victoria Tsai has applied to her skincare and her life.

That’s my thoughts for today, bye for now

NIOD Today’s Special Value on QVC for 19th July 2017

Hello everyone,

Niod launches it’s second tsv on Qvc from midnight the 19th of July. This company just goes from strength to strength bringing us exciting new products and launches and I just love watching it grow as I feel we really needed something different in the skincare world and they have done just that.

I also like that they will never put in any ingredients that don’t need to be there like fillers, petrochemicals, fragrances ect. Just what needs to be in there to make a change on your skin. They don’t treat specific skin types …they treat skin to give you the best possible skin that you can have!

So onto the products!

NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 15ml – CIAS- This is a real staple in my skincare this works on skin health, you use this first on your skin and it works on repairing the skin from ageing, fine lines wrinkles, skin tone, it works to make your skin the best skin it can be. It is a staple in my skincare.

You use CIAS morning and evening and it goes on before anything else on naked skin, wait 30 seconds and then continue onto MMHC2

Next is a new product it is the Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid 2 15 ml  – So this product has recently been upgraded by NIOD (they will always give you the best product that they can). It contains 15 different forms of hyaluronic acid in different weights and forms to tackle skin hydration on all different layers of the skin.

I have been using MMHC2 this since it came out and I find it lighter, smoother, silkier and less tacky on my skin. Worth mentioning here all forms of HA are somewhat tacky. This is the big long drink of hydration my thirsty skin needs, love it!

NIOD Mastic Must 90ml – I think one of the most important things I have learnt since I started my Niod journey is environmental factors and the effects they have on skin. We don’t think when we are out and about about the pollutants hitting our skin on a daily basis but they do and they really irritate our skin so good face masks are an essential.

Plus as we age our pores get bigger . sad but true! Mastic Must clears out skin and pores .. it really gets down and into the dirt and pollution that has been sitting on our skin for years and gives you super clean skin and clean pores .. a clean pore is a smaller pore!! So the cleaner you work to keep them the smaller they will be.

This is best used in the morning or just before a big night out to give you really smooth, glowing skin and your pores all minimised to greatest effect.

Finally there is the NIOD Photography Fluid Opacity 12% – Known on Instagram as Selfie Serum and rightly so as it pixelates and blurs imperfections on your skin. If you log on and watch the demo on QVC for it you can see as Nicola spreads it out on her hand how that really works and bounces the light back off your face making you look your very best. I do love this product and you only need one drop into your primer or moisturiser to blur fine lines and imperfections, A lady should never go anywhere without it, even with no make up on this will make your skin look better.

NIOD-Setn2 (1).jpg

So that is it folks .. another exciting NIOD tsv .. oh and the price, well if you were to buy individually they would cost £110 for one day on the 19th of July you can pick up these products for an amazing £40!

This link will go live at 10 am 16h of July and you can purchase your TSV from here NIOD TSV

Just to add I already own all of the products in this tsv and I have reviewed them from long term use. Oh and the Founder Brandon will be there live on Q too .. sooo excited to hear his thought processes behind his products!!

Bye for now

Just What is the Libbie Club and How Does It All Work?

Hey everyone,

Today I would like to explain what the Libbie Club is and how it works. I have been with it from the very start and I find them really easy to be a part of.

The Libbie Club is a part of Latest In Beauty and You Beauty Box who have brought us some of the best Beauty Boxes there are. LIB is a no subscription box ..they bring us hot trendy boxes if and when they have them and You Beauty offers us a subscription alternative which I love as I can always see the value in these boxes and they bring me fresh, exciting and new skincare.

img_20161002_125423429

So the Libbie Club is their Boutique where they sell high end full sized products and as a Libbie I take the offers and share them around friends, family and fellow skincare and beauty junkies …and that is it really!

You get to really learn about the products and what makes that individual item special, sometimes an insight from the brand as to what makes it tick and I love that sort of thing. I love learning about my skincare and what is in it.

If you convert a sale (you can make a purchase yourself if not) then you get the next month’s box free to review and share and that is basically how it all works. Of course you need to be putting some effort into this and sharing the word but I find everyone in the LC very warm and happy to help with any problems.

img_20161002_125736705

Sophie our Chief Libbie is very approachable, warm and helpful and she is all hands on deck everywhere! She must get it crazy some days lol!

A word on the products. Anything I have had from the Libbie Club has always been really good quality. There is a lean towards natural, organic, cruelty free products and that suits me just fine. I think people are learning a lot more online that these products are the best way to go.

So that is it… simple, easy to do and if you do it right it will reward you back. There is no hard sell here but knowing your products and being able to answer questions gives others who are buying confidence in the products which I think helps a lot.

img_20161002_125821664

There is a small deposit to pay on your first box but the box is always worth a lot more than that, of course months and value vary but once you have paid this and converted a sale then your next box is free and so forth…

I have truly loved trying all the products that have been sent to me by the Libbie Club and I have found some remarkable products that are now staples in my make up & skincare stash.

If you want to take a look at the Libbie Club or some of it’s offers you can find it all here
