New Year Beauty Clear Out!

Hello everyone,

Been a while since I blogged but I have been ill and I also broke my laptop by accidentally throwing a glass of water over it! Needless to say i’l appreciate this one all the more!

So my aim is simply out with anything old and in with the new and what I thought of those products so here goes ..

Gatineau Aquamemory, not sure why I didn’t feel the love for this as much as I should have, perhaps it got a bit lost in with other things because I know lots of other ladies on my beauty group love it.

Hyasoft Gel by The Hero Project, really like this, oil free and very hydrating great for around tired eyes during the day too just dab on and let is sink in on top of your makeup. Good on any dry spots, red skin.

Kerataise conditioner, nice but not sure I would rush out & buy.

Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser. I think this was a bit lost on me as I was using other acids too so never got or felt the benefit.

Omorovicza refining face polish, love it and would buy, will be cutting this open tonight to get the last out of it! Have some more.

Nubo Oxygen Boost an expensive product but I would save for it in a heartbeat and probably will. Has the finest hyaluronic acid in the world in it. Results are instant, It changed my neck and really plumped my skin up. Takes years off!

Sachajuan colour save shampoo, love the fragrance and left my hair lovely and clean. I really, really love the once a week deep conditioning mask from this brand it leaves my hair so conditioned and silky soft.

L’Occitaine Neroli & Orchadee bath cream .. did nothing for me would not repurchase.

This Works Deep Sleep Shower Gel .. I like it but would I buy again? Not sure as I have a lot of other sleep products to try out!

Nude Perfect Cleanse Jelly a lovely cleansing oil, a great first cleanse I feel this brand has gotten a bit lost in the crows which is a shame as their products are good also liked their face oils.

Omorovicza Cleansing foam love this, gives a creamy foam and leaves skin feeling lovely and clean, already have a back up of this!

So I am happy with myself that I have made a start ..overhaul is now in action!
Getting to the bottom of certain products is an achievement as I tend to buy more, I am a sucker for a good bargain!!

Anyone else doing the same?

Happy New Year to you all!

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Hello beauties,

Been a while since my last blog post but onwards and upwards as they say!

I have been using this Tatcha luminous dewy skin mist for a while now and have been reading a bit about the brand.

Tatcha came to life from a Japanese lady, Victoria Tsai who had enough of life in the fast lane and wanted simplicity and authenticity in her life, she also suffered from chronic dermatitis and from there she began to learn about the importance of good skin ingredients and of course well-being.

An encounter with a modern day Geisha changed her life. She started reading about a different approach to skincare, routines and rituals that for centuries has been kept and handed down from woman to woman.

Tried and tested formulas, simple, pure and effective and cutting out the need for a lot of the preservatives and harsh ingredients in a lot of today’s skincare.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin mist is a silky spray-on moisturiser for anti-ageing and dry/combination skin it is made with squaline, red algae and an anti-ageing ingredient called HADASEI-3 Complex, which is known as a powerful trilogy of Japanese ingredients – it also protects the skin and keeps it dewy and glowing. It is formulated with over 20% botanical oils and Hyaluronic Acid.

It delivers a lovely light but hydrating mist to the skin and can be used on top or under makeup throughout the day. This is such a fantastic product to stop your skin from drying out and keep you looking fresh and dewy.

It smells heavenly and I can really feel the benefit of the mist on my face. It is softer and more hydrated, which coming into the winter season is something I find incredibly important.

It is free from parabens, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances & sulphates, anything that can really irritate sensitive skin.

I am a face mist addict – I find the right ones an excellent way to get extra hydration into my skin and to give a boost during the day too. Tatcha has lots of vitamins and hydrants in which makes it a skin lovers gem of a mist.

This mist is absolutely beautiful and after learning a bit about the brand it is something in time I would love to try a lot more of. It is not available in the UK yet but fingers crossed it will be at some point soon! Right now you can get it here in Sephora.

Have you tried any Tatcha skincare?

I love that Tatcha’s ingredients have stood the test of time and are well proven to be effective and that it has that wonderful balance that Victoria Tsai has applied to her skincare and her life.

That’s my thoughts for today, bye for now

Skin Organics -Clean & Natural Beauty Box Competition!

Winner will be drawn Friday evening 4th of August to win this beautiful box of #Organic #Beauty

the40somethingbeautyblogger

Hello Beauties,

Today I have a competition for you! Yay!

It is for a Skin Organics Beauty Box. I have to say, I have been seriously impressed with the box I was sent and I have decided to subscribe, as I just love organics and clean products. Our skins readily accept these products and they work so much better on the skin (no harsh parabens).

Every month, you get sent 5 organic and clean products for just £21 plus £3.95 shipping .. For organic products that is a pretty amazing price, as it really can be much more expensive for niche, purer products. Funny how you have to pay more for products in their natural state and not filled with ingredients to really dry your skin out and irritate it!

Everything about this box feels smart, clean and beautiful. I am absolutely loving the 5 products I was sent…

Skin Organics -Clean & Natural Beauty Box Competition!

I am absolutely loving the 5 products I was sent. They are all award winning products, which I will list below, as you will receive the same box if you win.

Siskyn Camelia & Safflower Hot Cloth Cleansing Oil – a skin-brightening cleansing oil, that is gentle enough to take over your eyes to remove your eye makeup too. I don’t know about you, but sometimes  I think it is a pain having to get a lot of different cleansers out at bedtime!

Terre Verdi Acqua Di Rose Balancing Mist – Anyone who knows me, knows I am crazy about rose water and this one is lovely and pure as it just contains pure Damask Rosewater. I will be buying this in a full size as it has not left my side since it arrived (alcohol free).

Freyaluna Tea Tree and Peppermint Refreshing Foot Scrub – when I opened the box I could smell the beautiful peppermint coming from this … it is a brown sugar scrub and with it being so hot at the minute, it is a real treat to refresh hot tired feet. The good thing about a sugar scrub is it goes all creamy on the feet as the sugar dissolves leaving so silky smooth.

Kathy Sue Ann’s Anti-Ageing Eye Balm – Now this is a bit different to what I am used to, but I think it is a very good product. Particularly where I live, on the coast, it can get very windy and you can get watery eyes that sting and get very irritated. In an emergency, great on lips or other patches of irritated skin too.

Last up is Maggie Ann’s Nail Polish in Grace – A beautiful bright pink for summer! Free from 6, this nail polish is Peta approved gel polish and its formula is streak free and super glossy.

So how do you enter to win this box? Just like the skin Organics facebook page HERE & Subscribe to their website HERE (wait for the pop up to appear) and like my Facebook page too HERE and leave a comment on the competition on my facebook page to say you have entered all the conditions and give the competition a share.

Winner will be drawn at random in on Friday evening (4th of August), good luck everyone ❤ . You can also get 10% off one of The Skin Organics with code firstbox10.

Bye for now
